Abstract

Social policy interventions play a significant role in addressing socio-economic inequalities and promoting community development. In contemporary societies, the effectiveness of these interventions depends on their accessibility, implementation, and alignment with community needs. This study aims to examine the impact of social policy interventions on community development and to evaluate their effectiveness in improving quality of life and reducing inequality. A quantitative research design was adopted using a cross-sectional approach. Primary data were collected from a sample of 80 respondents through a structured questionnaire comprising demographic, awareness-based, and Likert scale items. Descriptive and inferential statistical techniques, including correlation, regression, chi-square, and t-test analyses, were applied to assess relationships between variables. The findings indicate a generally positive perception of social policy interventions among respondents, particularly in terms of enhancing quality of life, promoting social inclusion, and supporting community development. Awareness and access to social policies were found to be moderate, while implementation challenges were also identified. However, inferential analysis revealed that the relationships among key variables were not statistically significant, suggesting the influence of additional contextual factors. Social policy interventions contribute meaningfully to community development, but their effectiveness depends on improved implementation, accessibility, and community participation. Strengthening these aspects can enhance sustainable and inclusive development outcomes.
